The market hall of Kos Town, built in 1934, is situated at Eleftherías Square, on the opposite side of the Archaeological Museum, between Eleftherías Square and Platia Agias Paraskevis. It was designed in the Italian colonial style with Arabic elements and today houses the Municipal Market of Kos. The market hall is smaller inside than it appears from the outside, but here you will find numerous stalls selling everything from spices, fresh fruits and vegetables such as watermelons or eggplant, but also sponges, honey, mussels or pickled tomatoes and carrots are offered.
