The Wurzacher Ried moorland north of the municipality of Bad Wurzach in Baden-Württemberg is one of the largest nature reserves and one of the most important moorland areas in southern Germany. The moor area extends over about 8 × 4 km over a total area of about 18 km².
The spa town of Bad Wurzach (until 1950 Wurzach) lies between the Allgäu and Upper Swabia on the edge of the Wurzacher Ried at an altitude of 650 to 800 meters and is the oldest bog spa in Baden-Württemberg. The place was first mentioned in 1273 as "Oppidum Wurzun". In 1333, Emperor Louis IV the Bavarian granted Hans, Truchsess of Waldburg the city rights for the city of "Wurzun”.
The Punta Sardina Lighthouse (Spanish: Faro de Punta Sardina) is a lighthouse on Gran Canaria. It is located north of Sardina in the municipality of Gáldar, and marks the north-west end of the island. Together with the barren nature and the surrounding sea, it forms a beautiful ensemble and is well worth a visit.
Right next to the Alikes Salt Lakes you find the beautiful Salt Lake Stables. The property, designed in the style of a ranch, is very well maintained and the horses are visibly doing well here. The highlight is the swimming trip, bathing in the Mediterranean Sea on horseback is an absolutely unforgettable experience.
The Arena of Lutetia (Fr. Arènes de Lutèce) was the Roman amphitheater of the city of Lutetia, the ancient Paris. The arena is considered the oldest surviving building in the French capital, it was built in the 1st century AD.
The Alikes Salt Lakes (Igroviotopos Alikis) are located not far from Tigaki on the north coast of Kos, about 15 kilometers west of Kos town. Table salt was produced here in a large saltworks until 1989. After the salt production ended a permanent lagoon of salt and brackish water formed in the basin, which has now been left to its own devices. The unique nature serves as a nesting place for a large number of wild and water birds as well as for wintering, even flamingos have been observed.
