The port of Kos town with its beautiful harbor promenade is located in a picturesque bay. The harbor entrance is guarded by the old Fortress Neratzia. The Mandráki port is a central transport hub of Kos city, offering ferry connections to many islands of the Dodecanese and to Bodrum in Turkey. Also, city buses, and sightseeing tours stop or start in the harbor.
On the harbor promenade and in the vicinity numerous restaurants and cafes are located inviting you to linger in the shade of the trees. The port of Kos town is an ideal starting point to explore most of the city's attractions. Neratzia Fortress, Plane Square with the Loggia Mosque and the Tree of Hippocrates, the Archaeological Site of Ancient Agora, the old Hamam and also Eleftherías Square with the Archaeological Museum Kos and the Market Hall are located in the immediate vicinity.
