Embros-Therme (also Empros Therme) is a thermal hot spring on the Greek island of Kos. At this unique location hot, sulfur-smelling water flows from out of a small gap at the rocks by the beach. It is caught in a small rock-built basin and flows from there into the sea. In the water of the pool, which is 47°C to 50°C warm, you can take a bath with gas bubbles rising from the bottom of the pool.
Embryos Therme is located about 12 km from the Kos Town in the southeast of Kos on a beach directly below the steep cliffs of the Dikeos Mountains. The water of the spring contains sulfur, potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium and is said to help against eye, skin, respiratory and muscle diseases as well as rheumatism and arthritis. There are other thermal springs on Kos, but all of them are already dry or difficult to find.
